Women’s hormone therapy
For selected patients, menopause-related treatment may involve estrogen and, when a uterus is present and systemic estrogen is prescribed, appropriate endometrial protection with a progestogen. Choice of medication, route and duration depend on individualized risk assessment.
Testosterone evaluation
Testosterone treatment is generally considered only after a clinical assessment supports a diagnosis. In men, low testosterone should ordinarily be confirmed with appropriate repeated morning testing, and treatment requires review of contraindications and monitoring.
Informed follow-up
Discussion may cover cardiovascular and thrombotic risks, cancer history, fertility effects, blood counts and other therapy-specific considerations. No hormone regimen should be presented as a proven anti-aging or lifespan-extending treatment.
